Augustinus Bader, in two years, has built one of the fastest-growing skincare brands for a high-spending crowd: its creams sell for $265 a piece.
The founders of Augustinus Bader
- Augustinus Bader, a German-born medical doctor, scientist, and university professor at the University of Leipzig. It was there that Bader had treated a young patient who suffered second-degree burns from scalding water. In 2008, he had a breakthrough that led to his skincare brand.
- Charles Rosier, a French entrepreneur and CEO of Augustinus Bader. Rosier had the vision to apply the technology to skincare consumer products to help raise awareness and funding for Bader's medical research.
Augustinus Bader products include:
- The Rich Cream: An award-winning face moisturizer with hyaluronic acid and hydrolyzed rice protein
- The Cream: Targets signs of aging and is good for normal, combination, and oily skin
- The Retinol Serum: Contains pure retinol, zinc complex, and is free of parabens, formaldehydes, and sulfates
